Also known as The Clash of The Titans
![]() Personally, since I focus on long term objectives I always strive for best on-page optimization and link building, this formula will surely help you rank higher on the search engines On the other side, with the boom of web2.0 (social networking sites, social bookmarking sites and so on) seems quite easy sending thousands of visitors (sometimes hundred of thousands) straight to your websites however they are what I call it, "junk traffic" meaning they do not purchase anything or click on ads (they can be called ad-blind) SEO is well known for sending quality traffic and hence your conversions will skyrocket once you hit the most desired place, number 1 spot on Google ![]() Don't get me wrong, just because I'm a SEO fan doesn't mean Social Media wont bring you traffic or wont make you money, its just that I prefer researching my competition (aka spying) and build a better site with more backlinks |

I'm still trying to grasp how to use social media effectively ; doing tests with Facebook and Twitter and so on. Seems social media is for the short attention so far as I have seen. The traffic, again, so far, seems very short lived. I might be doing it wrong though. I have better results with SEO.

Here's the overview:
A business that wants to track their ROI from social media should start with a baseline of your company's current growth, website visitors, online transactions, telephone inquiries, etc. If you don't have this information, start tracking it. |
